Bike Pirates is a workshop where our volunteers will show you how to fix your bike yourself! We have all the tools and parts you need for most repairs.

We work with the principle of Do-It-Yourself, but that doesn’t mean we expect you to know how to fix your bike. If you are new to bike repair, our volunteers are happy to teach. You can stop by and learn whatever you want or need to know during any of our regular hours.

We provide Women, Trans, & Non-Binary Only Hours on Sundays to help create an accessible learning environment for everyone.
How much does it cost to fix my bike at Bike Pirates?
That depends on you. We’d like you to make a donation based on
- how much time you spent in the shop
- how much help you received from our volunteers
- how much you learned
- how much fun you had
- how useful it is for you to have a working bike, and
- how much you can afford
Used parts have suggested donation values (sliding scale); a volunteer can tell you what those are.
New parts have set prices. If you need any new parts to repair your bike (like cables, brake pads, or inner tubes) we will let you know their prices so you can stay within your budget.
