Please join us Monday, December 29, at 10 AM at 1292 Bloor St W to help us load up our moving truck.
You can also join the moving fun & help unload the truck at 1416 Queen St W around 11 AM.
We will be making a few trips, so drop by either location during the day to help out. It will be much appreciated!

ANNOUNCING OUR NEW HOME!
1416 Queen Street West!
We are enthusiastic about the possibilities in this new space – with a much larger main floor, greater accessibility, and in a whole new neighbourhood. We think Parkdale is a great match for our collective and the work that we do.
Stay tuned for updates on our renovations and for confirmation of our first operating day at the new space.
In the meantime, consider dropping by any day from 12pm-6pm (and possibly later) to help us with cleaning, moving and renovating, or stop by with some snacks (we will be without a kitchen for several weeks) and high fives!
Make a Donation Online
Look over to the right-hand side of our website and you will see that we now have a PAYPAL BUTTON! If you support what we do but don’t need to come in and use our workspace, you can make a donation online with a credit card or through your paypal account. $5 keeps one of our repair stands open for one hour. $15 pays for one of our daily shop meals.
Until January 3rd please consider donating to our Indiegogo Fundraiser to help fund our move!
1292 Bloor St. Location CLOSED!
Our space on Bloor Street is now CLOSED. Our final operating day was yesterday, Sunday December 7th, and we had a great day with friends visiting and sharing snacks, memories, and papering up our windows. We’ve had a wonderful 6 years in Bloordale and look forward to creating lots of new memories at our new space – soon to be announced!
Come by any day 12-6pm if want to help us pack, clean and move. We will NOT be able to help with any bike repairs.
If you haven’t yet, please check out and share our Indiegogo Fundraiser. We need your help to build our new shop!
Volunteer Orientation – Dec. 3rd – with ASL interpreter
At our volunteer orientation on Dec. 3rd (7pm at the shop), we will have an ASL interpreter present for non-hearing folks who want to get involved at Bike Pirates. Please share with anyone who might be interested. Everyone is welcome.
Final Days on Bloor Street
We are approaching our final days at our current home on Bloor Street West.
Our final operating day will be Sunday December 7th.
If you have important repairs to get done for winter riding, or if you haven’t been in for a while and want to say “hi” or “good luck!” please come in between now and the 7th.
During December we will be in the space almost every day sorting, packing up, cleaning and MOVING OUT. If you have time to help during December/January please stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter – we will be posting details of our workdays there for volunteers and community members. We hope to only be closed for a month.
In the meantime, happy winter riding, and throw some support behind our Fundraiser!
What are you paying for?
Since Bike Pirates runs completely on donations, supporting our Indiegogo Campaign isn’t just going to pay for our move and renovations. It will help us stay focussed on running the awesome programming that we do in our community year-round.
This includes:
– 28 hours of open shop DIY time every week
*including our successful Women & Trans Sunday program, going 6 years strong
– A community kitchen where meals are cooked for the whole shop
– Community events like movie nights, craft nights and bike rides
– Providing our space at no cost for community allies and grassroots organizations to run events and fundraisers.
– A cool anti-oppressive space where youth can fulfill their volunteer hours and learn mechanical skills.
– A monthly ASL Signing program we are set to launch once we have moved into our new space!
All of which are accessible on a Pay-What-You-Can basis!
