Ride and potluck Friday
Join the folks from Bike Pirates for our monthly 3rd Friday event this Friday, August 19th. We will have a group ride ending at a nice green space (away from cars!) for a picnic.
Please bring a potluck item for sharing, and something to drink. If you can bring your own bowl/plate and fork that would also be amazing and we will have less waste. Pirates will try to provide some basic food needs as well as clean up stuff.
Meet at the shop for a ride which will *start at 7pm*. The group ride will be pleasant and short, leading us to the secret picnic location. The weather should be nice so come out for our last Summer event!
Hope to see you there!

Memeorial Ride in Solidarity with Fallen Cyclist
About a dozen of us rode to install a ghost bike and observe a amonement
of silence for Vicente ‘Vince’ Sering, 61 assistant pharmacist at St.
Mike’s Hospital, father and husband of 33 years and very close to
retirement.
What a shitty place to die.

over thirty years. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Peel’ Chapel,

Group Bike Ride
Friday, April 16 – Third Friday – Alley Ride!
Bike Pirates invites you to join us for a ride through the laneways and alleys of Downtown Toronto! We had lots of fun last year – and no flat tires – so we are excited to go out again, and to explore new spaces we may not have seen before.
Lead us to your favourite hidden spot, down your favourite short-cut, and through your backyard. We will come with ideas and make the route as we go.
Meet in the Alley behind Bike Pirates at 6:30pm. Ride will leave at 7pm, and last for about 2 hours. Beers afterwards at a location TBA.
This event is FREE!
As with any of our events donations will gladly be accepted to help fund Bike Pirates – a registered non-profit – and the projects that we run. Right now we are fund-raising for Bike!Bike! an annual international conference for community bicycle projects that we will be hosting in August!!!
Can’t make it? Don’t worry! The following Friday (April 23rd) we’re hosting a another event: a fund-raiser movie night. Details soon.
